Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson are commemorating their second wedding anniversary!

On April 30, Wilson, 67, and Hanks, 67, celebrated their 36th wedding anniversary by posting sentimental pictures and words to Instagram.

“1988?,” Hanks wrote as the caption on a picture of the sun-kissed couple. 30 April? Large-scale actions. Wilson and Hanks were married as husband and wife. thirty-six years! Since then, only love has existed. x.

Wilson, on the other hand, posted a carousel of pictures featuring the couple posing together in various settings, such as a recording studio, the Great Sphinx of Giza in Egypt, and a ski vacation. Hanks puts his head on Wilson’s shoulder in a funny way in one of the pictures Wilson shared, and in the last one, the two are seen laughing together inside a car.

On the set of the ABC sitcom Bosom Buddies in 1981, Hanks and Wilson first became friends. Hanks was married to Samantha Lewes, his first wife, when they first met. In 1987, Hanks and Lewes, who were parents to two children, Elizabeth, then 41, and Colin Hanks, 46, officially separated.
