The Fabletics founder and actress Kate Hudson welcomed her third child into the world last year, a girl. The star opened up about how she will be raising the child genderless.
Hudson was already a mother to 15-year-old Ryder and 7-year-old Bingham when she recently gave birth to a baby girl. In an interview with AOL, the star talked about her approach to raising a girl.
.“There’s definitely a difference. I think you just raise your kids individually regardless – like a genderless [approach].We still don’t know what she’s going to identify as. I will say that, right now, she is incredibly feminine in her energy, her sounds and her way.”
The actress admitted that she likes buying clothes for her baby girl. “It’s very different from the boys, and it’s really fun to actually want to buy kids’ clothes,” she said. However, the star contended that some outfits are a little ridiculous to subject her daughter to. “There’s some stuff[kid’s clothes] that I’m like, “I can’t do that to her, because it’s so over-the-top.”
Hudson’s own childhood is an inspiration and guide for how she wants to raise her daughter. The actress said that growing up with brothers made her a tougher person. Hudson is not the first Hollywood celebrity to jump on the bandwagon of genderless parenting. Pink, Angelina Jolie, and Adele have also embraced this parenting philosophy
