Beneath an Italian farm close to Verona, a Roman mosaic was discovered. Architects in the hills above the northeastern Italian neighborhood of Negrar di Valpolicella found the treasure. The finding was made at the same spot more than a century after the remains of an old villa were found nearby.
The ornate flooring may have been a part of the building that was previously found, according to archaeologists. “After endless decades of futile attempts,” it was discovered.
The elaborate mosaic floor, which is thought to have been created in the third century AD, is currently being studied by technicians to determine the safest method of excavation.
