24-Year-Old Diagnosed With Stage 3 Cancer After She Overlooked Continuous Burping

A twenty-five-year-old American woman who refused to stop burping revealed that her symptom was the result of an advanced, non-diagnosed malignancy.

People reports that Floride native Bailey McBreen started doing burpees on a regular basis in 2021 and has since increased her frequency to ten times a day. She experienced the symptom for a few months, but was examined when it developed into acid reflux and “excruciating” stomach pains. Mme McBreen disclosed that she was ultimately diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer, which came as a “huge surprise” to her and her family.

Even though I was unaware of it at the time, Mme. McBreen told NeedToKnow that the first indication of an error was when I started to make excessive swallowing motions. I would swallow five to ten times a day. “It was strange for me,” she continued.

Mme McBreen claims that her health started to deteriorate and that she started experiencing “extreme pain,” appetite loss, and difficulty getting in and out of the bath. After that, as a nymph, she trusted her gut feeling that something was “bloqué” and went straight to the hospital. Later, a radiography scanner reveals that she had a tumor obstructing her large intestine and stage 3 colon cancer.

“I never thought it could be related to such a horrible illness,” she said. “It was truly an exceptional experience,” the 25-year-old woman added in reference to her choice. « Je ne suis pas prêt à mourir était le premier mot que je pouvais exprimer. “I never would have thought that any vague symptoms I was experiencing were actually stage 3 colon cancer,” she said.

Additionally, Mme. McBreen told NeedToKnow.co.uk that she believed constant burping was a sign of gastro-esophageal reflux disease (GERD), which she noticed one month later.

“Excessive burping is not a classic sign of colon cancer, but my oncologist told me that it was probably the beginning of my symptoms,” she said. She said that in my case, GERD was a symptom since my tumor was in the process of causing a total obstruction of the liver.

According to People, Mme. McBreen underwent an urgent surgical intervention to remove the tumor after receiving her diagnosis. She will continue receiving chimiotherapy through the end of August.
